"Nobody in Chicago does adolescent angst quite like the Side Project... the intimate Rogers Park company treats young-adult characters as if they’re no less complicated than those in Ibsen."

Noted New York theatre historian Michael R. Fife recently unearthed an unknown early one act by Henrik Ibsen, A Doll's Condo, in which, Fife says, can be found the dark roots for both A Doll's House and Hedda Gabler ("Which luckily," he said, "have been touched up with a little peroxide. Ibsen was already thought of as far too progressive for his contempories," he explained, "but even his supporters felt that the father of modern drama pushed the konvolutt too far with this bastard child, reviling him with such comments as 'Hjernen din er helt herpa!'" (to which Ibsen was known to have replied, 'Everyone's a kritikk.')

The latest find completes a trio of discoveries dating back to Fife's 1993 finding of The Three Shiksas, (Anton Chekhov's Lost Hanukkah Play), and the 1996 finding of Poor, Pitiful Pamela Pureparts' Pernicious Perils, an olde time radio play Mr. Fife also unearthed.
